1.Remote Control
If you want to configure or maintain computer with PC-Monitor Agent directly through the Console, you can use the remote control function to do so. Select the target computer and choose Control→Remote Controlling from the pull down menu. You need to enter password if password protection is set.
“Remote Controlling” caption is shown at the top right corner of the target computer desktop while remote controlling is taking place.
: You can change the zoom ratio.
: Change to full-screen mode. To exit from full-screen mode, press F12 or press Ctrl-Esc and then right click the title bar or taskbar icon of PC-Monitor Viewer and select Full Screen in the popup menu.
: Refresh the screen.
: Change the screen color mode. represents 256 color mode.
: Enable/disable keyboard and mouse of the target computer. means the keyboard and mouse are disabled.
: Enable/disable clipboard transfer between the console computer and agent computer. means clipboard transfer is disabled.
If you want to use Ctrl-Alt-Del, Ctrl-Esc or F12 in the computer under remote controlling, right click the title bar or taskbar icon of PC-Monitor Viewer and select Send Ctrl-Alt-Del, Send Ctrl-ESC or Send F12 in the popup menu.
2.Notify
To send messages or commands to the agent computer, highlight a particular computer or group and select Control→Notify in the pull down menu. A dialog box will be shown as below. If group is selected, all computers in the group will receive the message. After entering the message, click Send to deliver to the targeted computer.
3.Lock Computer
If some unusual operations happen in the agent computer, you can lock the agent computer to disable its keyboard and mouse instantly. To lock a particular agent computer or several computers, select the target computer or group and choose Control→Lock Computer from the pull down menu. Username and password should be entered to execute this process.
4.Unlock
To unlock the locked agent computer, select the required computer or group and choose Control→Unlock from the pull down menu and followed by password input. Then, keyboard and mouse of the computer are enabled again.
5.Log off\Restart\Power down
To log out, restart or show down computer with PC-Monitor Agent installed, highlight a particular group or computer and select Control→Shut Down and then select Log out, Restart or Power down in the pull down menu. PC-Monitor Agent in the selected computer will stop running after such operation. PC-Monitor Agent will run again when user logs on to the windows again.
6.Wake up
Highlight a computer and select Control→Wake up, You can only wake up computers which support Wake-On-Lan. This Function may not work when you try to wake up computers through VPN
7.Remove system restore points
To remove Windows XP restore points,highlight a particular group or computer and select Control→Remove system restore points
8.Uninstall Agent
To uninstall PC-Monitor Agent from a selected computer, highlight a particular computer, choose Control→Uninstall from the pull down menu. After that, the selected computer will no longer be monitored by PC-Monitor Console. To monitor that computer again, PC-Monitor Agent should be reinstalled on that computer with the help of system administrator.
